About the Conference

Overview

The NECTEC Annual Conference & Exhibitions 2008 (NECTEC-ACE 2008) will take place on September 24-25, 2008 at Bangkok Convention Centre, Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, Bangkok, Thailand.
The conference is an annual meeting that brings together a community of researchers, developers, practitioners, and users involved with electronics, computer, telecommunication, and information technology. The objective of the meeting is to serve as both the premier venue for presenting foremost research results in the areas and as a forum for introducing and exploring new concepts. The conference will feature invited talks, invited papers, refereed papers and posters, tutorials, workshops, and exhibitions.
For this year, the theme of NECTEC-ACE 2008 is Digitized Thailand: Towards the Digital World which reflecting the ever growing of digital contents and require advanced researches, development, and applications in the dynamic and exciting areas of digital technology and applications.
The NECTEC-ACE 2008 invites high quality original research and development papers in related topics from researchers in academia, industry and government. The topics covered by the NECTEC-ACE 2008 include but are not limited to:
Contents Creation Covering subject areas that directly deal with the content creation technologies in the area of business, agricultural, industrial, education, social network, cultural preservation purposes.
Cyber-infrastructure Covering continuously improving infrastructure, platform, and readiness to create, host, utilize, and manage the digital world.
Processing and Modeling Technology Covering broad subjects that deal with new knowledge, value added capability, and science extracted from availability of content and existing resources.
Management, Engineering and Design Technology Covering systematic processes in all stages of life cycle including services and application means and interfaces designs.
Next Generation Electronics and Devices Technology Covering electronics and embedded system devices for the coming generation that will improve the cycle of digital world and serve ubiquitous environment

Contributed Papers

Original papers are solicited in all related areas of digital technology and applications. Full papers must be submitted in ODT and PDF formats prepared strictly following the provided format of NECTEC Technical Journal which can be downloaded from the conference web site. Paper can be written in either Thai or English. Prospective authors are invited to submit electronically via the conference web site at submission a full-length paper (4 pages normally and 8 pages maximum) of their work.

Oral and Poster Presentation

There are two categories of paper presentation: oral and poster. Desired category can be stated at the submission. Final category of accepted papers will be decided by the program committee. Poster will be presented during special designated sessions of the conference.

A Note to Companies

The technical program of NECTEC-ACE 2008 is designed to provide knowledge of processes and techniques. If your company's engineers are willing to share their technical expertise, and can do it in a presentation that focuses on a methodology or process and does not mention company's products, we welcome your submission. We do not accept companies into the conference; we accept speakers. If your speaker is accepted and needs to cancel, show management will decide whether to accept a replacement speaker or to put a new class in the program.
